We saw this graffiti in a few places on one of our trips to Iceland and wondered what it signified. We learned that it is a symbol for the Icelandic band ‘sigur rós.’ We bought their album and were enchanted by it. They sound how Iceland looks, fascinating.

We were very fortunate to see Sigur Rós on September 24, 2005. We brought along this painting and presented it to Kjartan and he graciously accepted it. It is an honor of a band of this magnitude to have one of our paintings. Read more here.
