Nordic artwork has always fascinated me. I think that it has a unique boldness as well as intricate design to create a harmonious balance. Being of Scandinavian descent, I have an obsession with Viking ships and runic letterings. This image was from a carving from the Dark Ages depicting a Viking ship at sea.
