Being a graphic designer and an artist, this painting combines my interests in each. I like to have a thought-out layout in my paintings while still having artistic freedom. This painting represents how design and art can be combined to work well with each other. The text and shape of the coffee cup are prominent features of the piece while the brush strokes are impressionistic. The solution reveals a simple concept but maintains its elegance as a fine art piece.
