Coffee Art® Exhibition at Beaner's Central
March 6, 2009
Last night, we had our artists' reception for our latest exhibition:
The Dark Side of Coffee
It was a fantastic opening with a great turnout of people who were anticipating our latest creations. We would like to thank all who attended and we are gracious for their continuing support.

We are offering a sneak peak into our latest exhibition. We will showcase our works on this page and a link to each work. The first Coffee Art® of this collection is:
Scorch
After being plucked from its mother, the bean is tossed to the earth. It is left there to be dehydrated and seared by the sun’s devastating rays.

Inferno
Fiery flames blaze as the beans are blistered and singed inside an industrial volcano.

Roasted
No longer ripe, and green with life, the beans are now charred and oily after being subjected to intense heat.

Pulverize
After being punished by fire and heat, the bean is ground, crushed and minced by harsh metal teeth. All that is left is the cremated remains, which are exploited, just to give someone a boost.

Dark Side
Now that the beans are ground into insignificant specs, they take on a new life. A dark life. They were drawn to a power, to serve a purpose, a sinister purpose.

Obsession
“Just one more fix….that’s all I need…” says the addict to this tiny bean; the origin of this eternal infatuation.

Scalding
Inside the brewer, the metamorphosis is now complete. From beans, to grounds and now after being subdued by boiling water, the transformation to coffee is now complete.

Drained
The remnants of the aftermath. The beans’ life of being plucked, roasted, scalded and then thrown into the trash; was it worth it?
Click here to view the original art.
The Deal
Like a back alley exchange, cash is dealt for the user’s quick fix.
Click here to view the original art.
Distortion
While drinking his last sip of coffee and gazes into the disfigured and warped reflection, he wonders, “Who am I and what have I become?”
Click here to view the original art.
Tremors
After the eight cups of coffee, the hand quakes, the cup shakes and the coffee ripples at the epicenter of it all.
