We are working on promoting our upcoming show this Feburary and we are just finished designing our card and poster. It features John the Bookbinder and a play on words. We hope that we receive a good turnout to our exhibition opening. Look for more announcements regarding this show in the upcoming days.

Angel and I are addicted to Seinfeld. We end up watching at least one episode a day. One of the main places where the show takes place at is the coffee shop. We both thought that it would be a good coffee painting, and we chose George Louis Costanza for this piece. He sure is something else. We created a stop/action animation of the creation, and it can be viewed here.

I received something fun in the mail today from Iceland. It was a copy of the Reykjavík Grapevine that had a letter and photos of mine published. It was a little story about how I had constructed a viking ship out of paper bags for a grocery store contest, and how I disposed of viking ship afterwards. Here is a link to story about the viking ship, and here is the article in a larger version.

It was another busy weekend, and we both worked on a painting together. It is turning out to be quite lovely. It is a portrait of Angel in her wedding dress titled. "The Bride." We created a stop/action animation for this painting, and it can be viewed here.

This past weekend, I worked on a creation of my friend John. He is a kind old fellow that I have known for years. I have painted his portrait before, and I asked him if it would be ok to create another painting for our upcoming show. He obliged and it is turning out really nice. But for this work, I also set up a camera for a stop/action film sequence. It took many hours to create this painting, but with the animation I created, John the Bookbinder appears before your eyes in a matter of seconds. Click here to view the animation.

Today is our little Gidget's Fourth Birthday. She had a great time during the day as we made the rounds to Home Depot and Petco, her two favorite places to shop. In the evening, my parents came over for a little party and Gidget indulged herself with her favorite dessert, cheesecake!

We were just featured in another magazine, Log Home Living. Here is a clip of the article:

Grounds for Fine Art

A piping hot cup of coffee may already be the perfect morning pick-me-up, but two Minnesota artists are out to prove that there’s more to coffee than just cream and sugar. Whether you’re a daily visitor at your neighborhood Starbucks or just an occasional caffeine imbiber, you’ll agree that this coffee on canvas is anything but your average joe.

Angel surprised me this Christmas with a new pair of cross country skis! She also got a pair for herself, and we love it! It is a great workout, and we both love to be forest. It is very peaceful. We have even taken Gidget along for a ride. I would put her in my jacket, and her little head would pop out. She would look around and when we go down a hill, her ears will perk up. I think she likes it just as much as we do!
