The Honking Tree

The Honking Tree is a lonely tree on the Expressway
near Larsmont. It is a nice landmark to see coming up to town, knowing that
my destination is just a few minutes away. I would honk to the tree every
time that I would pass it, but my horn is broken. I just wave to it now.
"Update - The Honking Tree was felled by vandals in the early morning hours of April 30, 2009. It was a sad day in the community where the massive White Pine was a landmark and tradition for many years.
